ERGT have launched ‘phase one’ of a four-part upgrade to our Victorian fireground training facilities.

Specifically designed for the needs of the Maritime industry, our latest in LPG operated facilities provide trainees exposure to realistic emergency response scenarios based on remote work locations.

Comprising of a simulated engine room, electrical room and airlock, emergency responders are trained in the use of electrical and fuel shut offs, entry and exit through marine doors, and ladder use.

Reliability and safety were key considerations within the design and build stage, drawing upon extensive processes and systems that have been tested over the last decade here at ERGT.

Importantly LPG has been chosen as it creates a clean burn which is more environmentally friendly and avoids trainees and personal protection equipment being exposed to contaminants.

ERGT will continue to use LPG in future builds.
