Drive vehicles under operational conditions – PUAVEH001 Perth
This course is aimed at emergency personnel who are required to operate vehicles on public roads during an emergency situation. This course is designed for Trainees to gain the skills and knowledge required to drive emergency vehicles safely, including the safe control of all vehicles’ functions and the management of hazardous situations under operational conditions.
Structure and Assessment
This course is delivered through classroom presentations, group discussion and practical demonstrations and exercises. Trainees will demonstrate their competence through written and practical assessment.

- Prepare vehicle for operational response
- Drive the vehicle
- Monitor traffic, road and terrain under operational conditions

Medical Requirements
A health questionnaire and declaration of fitness will be required at course registration. Please contact ERGT for any concerns regarding completion of practical training and assessment requirements and to discuss options for reasonable adjustments.
Additional Requirements
Trainees will undergo a Breath Alcohol Content test prior to driving vehicles and will be expected to record a 0.000 reading
