Leading Safety Culture and Behaviours
The Safe Supervisors Competency Program (SSCP) course covers leading and developing safe teams, managing hazards and risks, managing safety, reporting and investigating incidents and initial ER, an understanding of and influencing safe behaviours.
Structure and Assessment
This course is delivered through classroom presentations, group discussion and practical demonstrations and exercises. Trainees will demonstrate their competence through written and practical assessment.
Learning Outcomes
The expected learning outcomes for this course are:
A certificate of completion is awarded following successful participation of the onshore component. Only after successful completion of the offshore component of the program do participants receive their Safe Supervisor Card. This attests that the required behaviours have been demonstrated. The card is issued by Australian Energy Producers, operating at the discretion of the oil and gas industry.
ERGT Desired Skills and Knowledge
It is recommended (but not mandatory) that trainees are experienced offshore workers, with some lead hand or supervisory experience.

Medical Requirements
A health questionnaire and declaration of fitness will be required at course registration. Please contact ERGT for any concerns regarding completion of practical training and assessment requirements and to discuss options for reasonable adjustments.
