Recently there has been an increasing public interest in firefighting foams that contain perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances known collectively as PFAS.ERGT Australia provides fire training to industrial emergency response teams across Australia at three training centres. Since 2001, we have used a specially designed training foam that is highly biodegradable and contains no PFAS, AFFF (aqueous film forming foam), fluoro-proteins or other active fire suppressant.The safety data sheet for the training foam used is available on request.
