ERGT proudly sponsored MERC (Mining Emergency Response Competition, Perth) for 2022 while designing and providing props for the Fire Fighting Scenario.

Competing teams had 45 minutes to complete the ERGT challenge involving a simulated bus crash into a site office. Two teams responded simultaneously, one to prioritise first aid needs for ‘surviving’ casualties, while the second managed fire fighting and search and rescue.

MERC provides and opportunity to acknowledges the contribution that emergency responders make and the commitment they place into their training.

The MERC charity again this year was the Blue Tree Foundation, where the event raised more than $120,000.
