ERGT Australia is the leading national provider of high risk safety training to the Oil and Gas, Maritime, Defence, Aviation and Major Hazard Facilities industries. We operate our own workplace simulation training centres or centres on behalf of our clients in Darwin, Townsville, Nowra, East Gippsland, Melbourne and Perth. We also have mobile facilities for specific on site work as requested by our clients. Our offerings span from catastrophic incident management, incident response, process safety, safety leadership through to personal and behavioural based safety.
We are currently seeking an IT professional to join the team at our Jandakot Training Centre.
As IT and IS Specialist at ERGT, your responsibilities will include the following:
Workstation, Server and Network Administration
- Install, configure and administer servers, peripherals, services, settings and storage devices
- Resolve technical issues with networks, servers, workstations, phones and other systems within time frames required by requestors or the IT & IS Development Advisor
- Setup new and upgrade existing user and classroom workstations as required
- Administer backup systems and processes across all ERGT sites
- Create and update technical documentation as requested
- Co-operate with ERGT management to promote and consistently deliver high quality products and services and meet quality objectives
- Maintain equipment, software and license Inventories
- Coordinate IT/IS purchasing as requested
IT and IS Support
- Provide technical IT and IS support to users in response to requests
- Troubleshoot IT and IS technical issues with classroom training delivery equipment
- Assist with ERGT website updates as appropriate
Systems Security Advisory and Implementation
- Perform ongoing evaluation and advice in regards to ERGT systems
- Provide ongoing security solution and best practices recommendations to IT & IS Development Advisor in alignment with ERGT’s risk profile
- Advise, guide and implement Office 365 governance standards for retention, auditing, backup and security of ERGT information assets
To be a successful candidate for this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a high level IT support role
- Demonstrated training, interest and currency in systems security topics as outlined above
- Total commitment to customer service
- Flexible and able to adapt to change
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative and ability
- Strong Team Player
