ERGT has received confirmation from the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) that its Registered Training Organisation (RTO) re-registration has been approved, extending ERGT’s registration through to August 2033.
The seven year re-registration is an important milestone for ERGT and reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality education and training for people working in high-risk industries.
As Australia’s national regulator for vocational education and training, ASQA is responsible for ensuring RTOs meet the requirements of the national VET regulatory framework. For ERGT, maintaining these standards is more than about compliance. Over recent years, we have deliberately shifted our focus from achieving compliance to building quality, consistency and continuous improvement into the way we operate every day.
That work has included the implementation of a new student and learning management system, aXcelerate; strengthening our product validation processes; an increased focus on trainer VET and industry currency; improvements to our management systems and ways of working; and continued development of our training and assessment practices. Importantly, these are not standalone compliance activities, they are part of how we ensure our training remains current, relevant and capable of preparing people for the environments in which they actually work.
ERGT Organisational Leader - Product, Stuart Jenner said the re-registration reflected a significant collective effort across the organisation. “We take our role in industry and the community seriously. Having our national VET regulator confirm ERGT’s re-registration for another seven years is an important outcome and one our whole team should be proud of. Over the past few years, we’ve worked hard to move beyond thinking about compliance as something we prepare for. Our goal has been to build the systems, capability and ways of working that mean we are audit ready as part of how we operate every day".
ERGT has been delivering safety and emergency response training since 1994, supporting workforces across high-risk industries including energy, resources, maritime and defence. Our purpose remains at the centre of that work: to apply our passions and talents for meaningful learning to improve the safety and capability of workforces in high-risk industries.
Our next RTO re-registration is due in August 2033.
