A partnership built on purpose

For almost a century, the Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Australia (RFDS WA) has been delivering essential healthcare and emergency services to people living, visiting and working across some of the state's most isolated locations. Whether responding to medical emergencies, providing primary healthcare services, or supporting communities during times of need, RFDS WA plays a critical role in ensuring distance is never a barrier to care.

It is this commitment to helping people, wherever they are, that continues to resonate strongly with ERGT.

ERGT is proud to announce the renewal of its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with RFDS WA, reinforcing a long-standing partnership built on shared values, community impact and a commitment to supporting regional and remote Western Australia.

While our organisations operate in different ways, there is a natural alignment in our purpose. Both ERGT and RFDS WA work alongside industries, organisations and communities operating in challenging environments where preparedness, capability and access to support can have a profound impact on outcomes.

Since 1994, ERGT has worked with high-risk industries including oil and gas, mining, maritime, aviation and defence, helping build the capability of workforces through emergency response, rescue and survival training. Many of the people who undertake training with ERGT live and work in regional and remote areas across Australia, where services such as RFDS WA remain an essential part of the community.

The renewed MOU formalises ERGT's ongoing support of RFDS WA and provides a framework for continued collaboration throughout the year. This support extends beyond financial contributions and includes opportunities for fundraising activities, awareness initiatives, community engagement and practical assistance where ERGT's facilities, resources and expertise can help support RFDS WA's important work.

As neighbours in Jandakot and long-term partners, both organisations share a commitment to making a positive difference in the communities they serve.

Over the years, ERGT employees have proudly supported a range of RFDS WA initiatives, recognising the significant contribution the organisation makes to the health, wellbeing and resilience of Western Australians. The renewed agreement provides an opportunity to continue building on that support while strengthening the relationship between the two organisations.

At ERGT, our purpose is to apply our passions and talents for meaningful learning to improve the safety and capability of workforces in high-risk industries. Supporting organisations such as RFDS WA is an extension of that purpose and reflects our commitment to contributing to safer, stronger and more resilient communities.

We look forward to continuing this valued partnership and supporting the life-changing work RFDS WA delivers every day across Western Australia.
