Learn how to safely operate a Freefall Lifeboat during an emergency.

This course develops the skills and knowledge required for coxswains to safely operate a freefall lifeboat/ TEMPSC (Totally Enclosed Motor Propelled Survival Craft) to facilitate a safe evacuation or recovery of personnel, should an incident occur while at sea. The freefall lifeboat is a form of evacuation found on offshore facilities/installations or vessels.

This course is delivered via in-classroom theory and practical drills, broadly covering:

  • Understand all safety attributes within the lifeboat and the use of them
  • Undergo pre-launch safety checks and procedures
  • Launch the lifeboat
  • Experience the free fall into the water in a safe controlled environment

The above also provides the ability to conduct your workplace assurance activities.

ERGT Australia offers other lifeboat launch arrangements. Available in Perth are Twin Fall Davit Lifeboat and Swing Arm Davit Lifeboat. Our Single FallLifeboat training is currently only available at our Melbourne Training Centre.
