Course Overview

The Frontline Leadership Training – Safer Together is a 2-day program delivered by ERGT Australia on behalf of Safer Together. This course equips frontline leaders with practical skills to lead teams safely and effectively in high-risk industries.

ERGT’s Frontline Leadership Training Safer Together (FLT Safer Together) is a 2-day development program designed for supervisors and frontline leaders working in high-risk environments. Delivered under licence and on behalf of Safer Together, this workshop builds leadership capability to create safer, more effective worksites.

This program blends group discussions, practical activities, and case studies to strengthen communication, decision-making, and team leadership skills. By completing this course, learners will gain the confidence to lead their teams in line with industry safety expectations. ERGT Australia provides administrative and hosting support for this training. No prerequisites or medical requirements apply.

The Frontline Leadership Training Safer Together is designed for frontline supervisors, team leaders, and workers preparing to step into leadership roles in high-risk industries. The program is suitable for learners with industry experience who are seeking to build or refresh leadership skills to meet workplace safety and operational expectations.

Delivered over two days at ERGT Australia, this training is particularly relevant for organisations committed to improving safety culture through strong frontline leadership. No prior learning is required, however learners should be currently employed or preparing for a leadership position.

Learners must be physically able to engage in classroom-based group activities and discussions.

Learners must have basic Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills to understand safety procedures and complete assessments. Learners must be able to access and navigate a digital device to log in and access the course materials. Support for leaners is available on request. More information is available on our website.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:
Understand what is required of a frontline leader in the Australian Energy Production Industry and how different this is from being an individual contributor
Have the basic skills necessary to start their leadership journey
Have developed their own Leadership Action Plan to be implemented at their workplace

Prerequisites

Government issued photo identification
Protective Clothing & Footwear – For courses with practical components, overalls/long pants and safety boots must be worn. If you don’t have your own, ERGT can provide these for you on the day.
Health & Fitness:
A medical certificate is not required for this course; however, a health questionnaire and declaration of fitness will be required at course registration. Please contact ERGT for any concerns regarding completion of practical training and assessment requirements.

What to expect

Free Parking at all ERGT facilities
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – Any additional PPE required for your course will be supplied by ERGT on the day.
Lunch for Full-Day Courses – Lunch is provided. Please let us know at least 24 hours in advance if you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements.
