This course is delivered through a blend of:

• Scenario-based exercises replicating workplace conditions such as confined spaces or hot work areas.

• Performance-based assessments to confirm competence in testing, interpreting, and recording atmospheric results.

The Gas Test Atmospheres course is designed for learners who are required to test and monitor gas levels in the workplace to confirm that the environment is safe for work. This training is particularly relevant to personnel in oil and gas, mining, construction, utilities, and manufacturing, where tasks may involve working in confined spaces, operating near hazardous chemicals, or carrying out hot work activities.

Delivered at ERGT Australia, this course results in the nationally recognised outcome MSMWHS217 Gas test atmospheres. There are no formal training prerequisites; however, learners should be engaged in roles where gas testing forms part of their operational or safety responsibilities.
 
Learners must have basic Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills and be physically fit to perform practical tasks such as operating detection equipment and completing safety checks.
