Course Overview
The 1-day Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) course at ERGT Australia gives learners the skills to safely escape a ditched helicopter at sea, survive in water, and use emergency equipment a critical training for offshore and over-water travel. Typically learners enrolling on this course are Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel, camera crew, survey crew, maritime pilots or other personnel visiting but not working on an offshore facility.
The Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET) course at ERGT Australia is designed for learners who regularly travel by helicopter to offshore installations, facilities or travel over water as part of their job role. In an emergency where the aircraft ditches or submerges, you must be prepared to act fast, survive in water, and manage evacuation and recovery.
This training delivers the outcome PMAWHS214 Undertake helicopter safety and escape. Over the 1-day course, learn pre-flight preparations, exit procedures from an inverted or submerged helicopter, life-jacket and raft use, and survival techniques in offshore water conditions. A current offshore or industry-equivalent medical is required for this course.

Prerequisites
Medical Requirements:
This training is physically demanding and includes extensive in-water activities. A current industry-approved or HUET medical is required for participation. Please refer to this link for more information: HUET Medical
Medicals must be provided to ERGT Australia as soon as possible after enrolling, but no later than 48 hours prior to your course commencing. Your medical can be submitted through your Learner Onboarding in aXcelerate or emailed to info@ergt.com.au
