ERGT Australia delivers the Industry Safety Induction (ISI) under licence to Safer Together. This 1-day course is essential for all new people entering the industry, including personnel and contractors, before commencing work on any onshore or offshore oil and gas facilities in WA, NT, or QLD.

The ISI ensures that learners understand the safety expectations, legislative requirements, and industry standards that govern operational activities. By completing the course, learners will be prepared to contribute to a safe working environment, recognise hazards, and apply safe work practices effectively across the oil and gas sector.

• Awareness of:
• The main locations and activities associated with the Natural Gas Exploration and Production Industry
• The tools and systems used by the industry to help manage risk
• Their roles and responsibilities as safety leaders within the Industry
• The expectations the Industry places upon workers, with regard to safety, conduct and behaviour
• Ability to recognise:
• The primary hazards and risks found within the industry
• Factors that influence their perception of risk and decision making around risk
• Behaviour and conduct that may compromise their safety and the safety of others
• Ability to:
• Apply common industry risk management tools and strategies including safety conversations, intervening and stopping the job
