The Incident Management Team Leader course at ERGT Australia develops the skills and knowledge of personnel so that they can coordinate IMT activities to either support or directly respond to both off-shore and on-shore incidents in line with their company’s requirements.

The Incident Management Team Leader course at ERGT Australia is a 2-day program designed to prepare participants for the responsibilities of coordinating incident response. This course focuses on developing the skills and knowledge required to support or directly lead Incident Management Team (IMT) activities for both Offshore and Onshore Incidents.

Completing this training leads to the nationally recognised outcome PMAOMIR418 Coordinate incident response, It provides learners with the confidence and competence to apply structured leadership, decision making, and communication skills in high-pressure environments.

The Incident Management Team Leader course is designed for personnel who may be required to coordinate or lead an Incident Management Team during offshore or onshore emergencies. This course runs over 2-days and provides the nationally recognised unit PMAOMIR418 Coordinate incident response. ERGT offer the Incident Management Team Leader course on request from clients for team and not suitable for individuals.

It is suited to those in supervisory, leadership, or safety-critical roles who need the capability to manage incident response in line with organisational requirements. While there are no formal prerequisites, it is recommend learners have prior experience in emergency response, incident coordination, or leadership roles.

This course includes practical and scenario-based activities that require learners to make decisions and coordinate team actions under simulated emergency conditions.

Learners must have basic Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills to understand safety procedures and complete assessments. Learners must be able to access and navigate a digital device to log in and access the course materials. Support for leaners is available on request. More information is available on our website.

Prerequisites

There are no pre-requisites from the training standard for this course.

Government issued photo identification
What to wear: Longs & longs, fully enclosed shoes.
Unique Student Identifier (USI):
You are enrolling in a Nationally Recognised Training (NRT) course.
A Unique Student Identifier (USI) must be provided and verified for NRT. Please refer to http://www.usi.gov.au to create a USI. It is strongly recommended that you grant ERGT permission to access your USI transcript to assist with verification.
ERGT is prohibited by law to issue a Statement of Attainment without a verified USI.
A USI must be provided and verified within 30 days of course completion otherwise an alternative non NRT certificate will be issued.
Health & Fitness:
A medical certificate is not required for this course; however, a health questionnaire and declaration of fitness will be required at course registration. Please contact ERGT for any concerns regarding completion of practical training and assessment requirements.
