Course Overview
The half-day Aviation Aircraft Underwater Escape and Survival course at ERGT Australia builds the skills to safely escape and survive in a helicopter or fixed-wing aircraft ditching event.
The Aviation Aircraft Underwater Escape and Survival course at ERGT Australia provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills to respond effectively in the event of an aircraft ditching over water. Learners build confidence through realistic training in underwater escape, post-ditching survival, and the safe use of life support and flotation equipment.
This half-day course delivers the nationally recognised outcome AVIF0048 Undertake aircraft underwater escape and survival and is often completed alongside AVIF0049 Utilise emergency breathing systems as part of ERGT’s Aviation Combination course.
This training is physically demanding and includes extensive in-water activities. A current industry-approved or HUET medical is required for participation.

Medicals must be provided to ERGT Australia as soon as possible after enrolling, but no later than 48 hours prior to your course commencing. Your medical can be submitted through your Learner Onboarding in aXcelerate or emailed to info@ergt.com.au
