Course Overview
The Certificate of Proficiency Continued Competence (CoP CC) at ERGT Australia is a one and a half day refresher for seafarers renewing their AMSA CoP. It refreshes Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats.
Eligibility: Qualifying sea service as per AMSA requirements, either 12 months in the last 5 years or 3 months in the last 6 months.
The 1.5-day Certificate of Proficiency Continued Competence course at ERGT Australia provides seafarers with the opportunity to maintain their emergency preparedness in line with current AMSA requirements. This course ensures continued competence in Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Personal Survival Techniques, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats and must be completed by seafarers who are renewing their STCW Certificate of Proficiency.
This course is essential for demonstrating up-to-date capabilities in responding to emergencies at sea. It includes physically demanding scenarios involving water-based survival and live-fire exercises. Learners must meet AMSA’s qualifying sea service requirements (12 months in the last 5 years or 3 months in the last 6 months.) This is valid for 5 years.
