The Road Crash Rescue Skills Maintenance course is delivered face-to-face at ERGT Australia using a combination of:

• Interactive classroom discussions to refresh underpinning knowledge.

• Facilitator-led demonstrations of rescue techniques and equipment use.

• Hands-on practice with hydraulic and mechanical rescue tools.

The Road Crash Rescue Skills Maintenance course at ERGT Australia is designed for personnel who are members of site-based Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) or other rescue units responsible for managing vehicle crash incidents. This includes workers in Oil and Gas, Mining, and other High-Risk Industries where vehicle extrication and casualty management form part of emergency response duties.

This program is a refresher and skills maintenance course, and is recommended for learners who have previously completed PUASAR024 Undertake road crash rescue or equivalent, and RIIERR201E Conduct fire team operations or equivalent, or a relevant ERGT Skills Maintenance course within the last two years. It ensures learners maintain their capability to perform road crash rescues confidently and in accordance with site procedures.

Physical requirements: Learners must be physically capable of performing demanding rescue tasks such as lifting, cutting, and casualty handling while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment in simulated emergency conditions.

Learners must have basic Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital (LLND) skills to understand safety procedures and complete assessments.
